Architectural Nature

The connection between nature and architecture is a magical tapestry of life and an inspiration for this Dress. Inspiration came through the organic, natural shapes and designs found in plants and mushrooms.
For the process I begun to create an undergarment by developing an organic structure mushroom-like shape to be the architectural under layer of the dress, adding structure, support and shape to the hips area. The dress and bodice were simply draped on the stand and gradually dyed around the torso emphasising the feminine silhouette.
